We work with Clip to Zero: peak control isn't dumped on the final limiter, it's spread across the whole chain — tracks, groups, buses, premaster. Every stage does a small part of the job, so nothing has to be squeezed.
The result is a master that sits at the level of the records you listen to, without the pumping and the artefacts of a limiter pushed to its knees. And an honest premise: loudness starts with a clean production. Mixing can't work miracles — if a track can't reach a certain level without damage, we'll tell you before we start, not after.
Fully in the box, and we say so
This isn't an analogue chain and we won't pretend otherwise. It's why it costs what it costs, why a revision doesn't cost you a studio session, and why a change revisited weeks later sounds exactly like the original.
One price, two crafts
Mix and master aren't sold separately because they aren't done separately: with this method the master already lives inside the mixing decisions.
Vocals treated, not just balanced
Editing and pitch correction are part of the mix, not an add-on. Vocoder and heavy autotune as an effect are something else: that's production.
Loudness that survives normalisation
We usually deliver between −7 and −6 LUFS integrated, up to −4 on request when the production allows it. Past that it isn't loudness, it's noise.

No "on request": you know the cost before you write to us. Prices are exclusive of VAT and apply to tracks up to 6 minutes.
Why EP and album cost less per track
It isn't a discount, it's different work. On a record we align loudness and tone across tracks and handle the spacing of the sequence — things that don't exist on a single. The package price applies if the tracks arrive together and belong to the same project; if they trickle in over months the single-track price applies, because what makes the package possible is exactly what disappears.
Got a deadline? We can shorten it
Three working days are included in the price. Two days for €40 more per track, one day for €75 more — subject to availability. If we can't meet the date, we'll say so straight away rather than promise it.
Revisions: two included, then €40
To be requested within 7 days of delivery. Revisions are adjustments to what you received: balance, EQ, levels, reverbs. Changing the arrangement, replacing or re-recording tracks, changing structure, tempo or key is a new job and gets quoted again — not a trick, simply starting over.
Payment: half and half
50% on confirmation, 50% on approval of the master, before the files are delivered. The work is non-refundable: the two included revisions exist precisely for that.
Not one file. A folder ready to release.
Buying a mix usually means getting one WAV and sorting out distributor, video and sync on your own. Here you get everything a release needs, in order.
Masters
WAV 24 bit / 44.1 kHz for distribution, WAV 24 bit / 48 kHz for video, MP3 320 kbps as a listening reference.
Alternate versions
Instrumental, clean version and radio edit. The three that radio, TV and platforms will ask you for — always in a hurry, always at the last minute.
Premaster
WAV 32 bit float, no final limiter, no normalisation. If one day you want it mastered elsewhere, you already have the right file and don't have to ask.
Post-master stems, on request
Six to ten groups that sum back to the final master: for live playback, sync, video edits and derivative versions.
Documentation
Credits, tempo, key, duration, ISRC and UPC in a metadata file, plus the delivery checklist. You'll need it the day you upload to your distributor and it asks for everything at once.
What to send us.
The cleaner the material arrives, the more time goes into making the track sound good rather than tidying it up. If in doubt, write to us before exporting: five minutes now are worth half a day later.

All tracks separate, same start point, same length. That's the condition for full control: with stems you inherit decisions already made.
No effects, nothing on the mix bus
We need the tracks dry. Compressors, reverbs, bus limiters: all off. The exception is effects that are part of the sound rather than a treatment — a delay that plays in time, a track distorted on purpose.
A reference premix
Let us hear where you were heading: in the premix use any effect you like, mix bus included. We won't touch it — it's there to tell us your intent.
Tempo, key and two references
Tempo and key save us time; two reference tracks tell us in half an hour what a page of description never will.

Can I buy just the mix, without the master?
No, and it isn't a sales policy: with Clip to Zero the master already lives inside the mixing decisions, so splitting them would mean handing you half a job. The opposite route does exist — mastering only, €60 — for those arriving with a finished mix.
What LUFS do you deliver? And platform normalisation?
Usually between −7 and −6 LUFS integrated, up to −4 on request when the production allows. Platforms normalise, so the point isn't winning a decibel race: it's that when your track is turned down it doesn't sag, and keeps pushing like the ones around it in a playlist. A dense but clean master survives normalisation; a squeezed one doesn't.
Do you also do vocal editing and pitch correction?
Yes, they're included in the mix and we do them in house. Vocoder and heavy autotune used as an effect are something else: that's production and gets quoted separately, because it changes the track rather than fixing it.
Do you work with analogue gear?
No — fully in the box, and we'd rather say it than imply otherwise. That has three concrete upsides for you: the price, the fact that a revision doesn't cost you a studio session, and the certainty that a change revisited six months from now sounds exactly like today.
How long does it take?
Three working days from the moment we have the complete material — genuinely complete: if a track is missing, the clock starts when it arrives. If your deadline is tighter we can shorten it: two days for €40 more per track, one day for €75 more, subject to availability.
What if I'm not convinced by the result?
You have two revisions included, to be requested within 7 days: that's exactly what they're for, and in practice they're almost always enough. The work is non-refundable, but the second 50% is paid on approval of the master, before you receive the files — so you never pay in full for something you haven't heard finished.
Where are you? Can it all be done remotely?
The studio is in Milan and the work is done entirely remotely, in Italy and abroad. Material travels through a transfer link, revisions in writing, and whenever it helps we talk over a phone call or a video call on Zoom or Meet — sharing the DAW screen and audio, so you hear the changes as we make them instead of having them described to you.
